No matter a person’s opinion of Floyd Mayweather Jr., most people seem to agree on two things, his impeccable work ethic and his ability to bring the big buck.
A recent interview, Floyd addressed the topic of MMA fighter payout which leads us to think he might soon be dabbling in the sport with the goal to more adequately compensate fighters.
With his recent acquisition of his Nevada State Boxing Promoters License, He can now hold his own boxing & MMA events. Floyd made his intentions crystal clear by telling Fighthype.com “We believe in treating our boxers and our MMA fighters fair. I want a lot of MMA fighters to get in touch with Mayweather Promotions.”
Only time will tell if this is more Mayweather-esque publicity stunt or a real plan that would drastically change the MMA pay grade.
“When I get into the MMA game, I want them to make more money than they’re making, because from what I hear, they’re not being treated fair.”
“I’m here to treat fighters fair. I’m here to treat MMA fighters fair, and I feel that the talent should win.” Floyd Mayweather Jr.
